Israeli tanks have been seen on Salah Al Din Street in Gaza – a main road linking the north and south of the enclave, according to video from journalists. Youssef Al Saifi’s video appears to show Israeli troops reaching Salah Al Din Street, three kilometres from the Israeli-Gaza border. Hamas said the incursion had been repelled. “Israeli tanks were forced to retreat from Salah Al Din Street and are no longer present on that road,” Hamas added.
