India on Wednesday said that it was “deeply concerned” about the deteriorating security situation in Israel and the Gaza Strip. “The mounting humanitarian crisis is equally alarming,” said R Ravindra, India’s deputy permanent representative to the UN. He was speaking at the UN Security Council Open debate on the “situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question”.
