Pakistan will observe Youm-e-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude) on Friday, May 16, 2025 to honor the historic victory of Marka-e-Haq and pay tribute to the valiant armed forces and people of Pakistan. Information Minister Atta Tarar said that the day will start with recitation of the Holy Quran and special prayers in mosques. A 31-gun salute will be presented in the federal capital and 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals. The Day will be marked by change of guards ceremonies at mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal while flag hoisting ceremonies will also be held in the federal and provincial capitals.
