Youm-e-Istehsal is being observed in Pakistan today (Monday) to register protest against Indian government’s illegal action of August 5, 2019. On August 5, 2019, the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government struck down Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian constitution, thereby scrapping the law that granted Kashmir its special status. Pakistan, Kashmiris and the international community had rejected the Indian steps to end the special status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
