Wheat production is critical to the country’s food security, with Punjab accounting for 76% of total wheat output.

This was said by Hussain Jahanian Gardezi, Provincial Minister of Agriculture, at a wheat convention held here on Thursday. He stated that Punjab’s wheat output target for this year has been set at 22 million tonnes. Farmers’ full engagement is required to ensure the success of the continuing campaign for increased wheat output, and the Agriculture Department staff will be available to assist them in this endeavor.
