Washington would not be dragged into war “anywhere”, Amos Hochstein, US President Joe Biden’s adviser for energy and investment, said on Sunday. “We have said we are not going to be dragged into war anywhere,” Mr Hochstein told the annual Manama Dialogue on security. He added that the US is thinking “about how we ensure security on those sides of the border”. “My conversations in Lebanon mirror the conversations we’re having in Israel as well. The most important is to ensure that the Gaza war does not spread to Lebanon,” Mr Hochstein said.
