Israeli cabinet minister Benny Gantz has said the US must put pressure on negotiators to ensure the proposed ceasefire plan is accepted. Mr Gantz spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken about the deal on Sunday night. Israel “is committed to returning the hostages and views it not only as a superior moral responsibility, but a priority on the war’s timeline”, he wrote on X.
