Earlier we reported details of the US 21-point proposal for peace in Gaza. Martin Griffiths, director of Mediation Group International, says the proposal – as outlined by The Times of Israel – is “very welcomed”. “I’m warmly surprised by the fact that Palestinians in Gaza are not going to be chucked out of their homeland, if they leave voluntarily they can come back, that there’ll be a ceasefire, release of hostages and prisoners, and aid coming in,” Griffiths told Al Jazeera.
