The war has changed the strategic landscape in the Middle East and convinced Iran that making concessions to US President Donald Trump would be a mistake, according to Tehran-based analyst, Ali Akbar Dareini. “Iran has learned through war if you give any concessions to someone like Trump, you are done,” Dareini, of the Centre for Strategic Studies, told Al Jazeera. Iran had sought to increase the costs of conflict for the United States, while Washington was now “trying to suffocate Iran economically”.
