The United Nations Security Council is set to vote today on a draft resolution demanding an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The proposal, backed by ten elected members—including Algeria, Ecuador, Guyana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, South Korea, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, and Switzerland—aims to halt ongoing hostilities in Gaza.
