UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will meet key donors to the organization’s agency for Palestinian refugees on Tuesday, after 12 of its staff were accused by Israel of involvement in the October 7 Hamas attacks. Countries including the US, France, Britain, Germany and Japan have announced the suspension of funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). “The Secretary-General is personally horrified by the accusations against employees of UNRWA,” Mr. Guterres’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric said.
