Ukrainian soldiers fighting off Russian offensives in east: Army

The Ukrainian military confirms intense clashes in the eastern part of the country, saying 205 combat encounters were recorded over the past day. Russian forces carried out 14 high-altitude air attacks on Ukrainian territory, dropping 41 guided glide bombs, the Ukrainian army said in its latest operational report, adding that there were 3,857 Russian artillery strikes, including 98 with multiple launch rocket systems. In Kupiansk, the Ukrainian military confirmed 11 attacks by Russian soldiers in several areas, which it said were repelled.
