Kyiv: On September 30, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal confirmed that he, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, and the speaker of parliament had signed a formal fast-track membership application for the NATO military alliance. The development came in the wake of Russia’s steps to annex four Ukrainian territories.
