British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has announced a trade ban ‌on goods made in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. During a speech in the UK Parliament, he also said that Britain is sanctioning the Hezbollah-run ⁠financial institution al-Qard al-Hassan. Lebanon’s central bank ⁠last year banned ⁠banks and brokerages from dealing with al-Qard ⁠al-Hassan, which describes ⁠itself as ⁠a charitable organisation.
