The UAE has launched a project to urgently repair sewerage networks in Khan Younis. As part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the project aims to address the severe damage sustained by the sewerage and water networks in the enclave, state news agency Wam reported. The project is part of a series of initiatives carried out by the UAE to mitigate the effects of the Israel-Gaza war. Dr Alaa Al Bata, mayor of Khan Younis, praised the UAE’s humanitarian efforts and noted how the country has been one of the first to provide support and relief to Palestinians since the war began in October 2023.
