The Israeli military identified the two soldiers killed as 21-year-old First Sergeant Roee Marom from Ra’anana and Major Raz Abulafia, a 27-year-old reservist from Rishpon. The military said the two soldiers were killed in ground battles with Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip on Monday evening. At least four other soldiers were also injured.
