TAXILA: Two education officials in Fatehjang have been suspended and an inquiry ordered over alleged corporal punishment of a sixth-grade student. The officials, Mohammad Hanif and Mohammad Saleem, serve at Government Elementary Boys School, Kamra. Disciplinary proceedings were initiated under the PEEDA Act following a complaint by the student’s mother. The incident has renewed concerns over enforcement of Punjab’s ban on corporal punishment.
