US President Donald Trump posted a picture featuring a map of the Strait of Hormuz, which he described as a “New US Territory”. The picture showed a circle around the strategic waterway located between Iran and Oman in the Persian Gulf. Earlier, Trump had described the idea of declaring the Strait of Hormuz as American territory as a “great idea”.
