US President Donald Trump touched down in the Qatari capital Doha on Wednesday as part of his Gulf tour. Mr Trump met leaders of the Gulf Co-operation Council on Wednesday, as well as Syria’s President Ahmad Al Shara, before heading to Doha for the second leg of his trip. On arrival in Qatar, Mr Trump was received by Emir Sheikh Tamim for an official welcome and bilateral meeting, followed by a state dinner at Lusail Palace.
