Tribal forces say ‘a number’ of SDF fighters are defecting in Raqqa

Sources with government-allied Syrian tribal fighters say a number of SDF members from the city of Raqqa are defecting as attacks continue. US-backed fighters with the SDF took control of Raqqa in 2017 after ousting the armed group ISIL (ISIS) from the city. Tribal forces are now reportedly controlling large areas of Raqqa.
