Russia rejects G20’s focus on security

On Nov 13, Russia called for the G20 to stop talking about security and focus on the world's most pressing socio-economic problems, ahead of a summit. The summit is reportedly set to be dominated by Western criticism of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In a statement issued ahead of the summit, Russia's foreign ministry said it was "fundamentally important that the G20 concentrate its efforts on real, rather than imaginary, threats."

Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Asim appointed as security in-charge for Imran Khan

As security in-charge of Imran Khan, Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Asim has been assigned. PTI has delegated security to Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Asim, according to Shahbaz Gil's tweet. Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Asim will begin fulfilling his responsibilities by becoming a regular member of my team. Shahbaz Gil expressed optimism that retired Colonel Asim would work hard to fulfil the goals. Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Asim was a former SSG commando, as you may recall.  

Core Commanders’ Conference: Security situation discussed

On Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa presided over the 247th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. In the meeting, a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in the country, particularly the recent terror attacks in Balochistan, was given. He expressed satisfaction over "the operational preparedness of the army’s formations and safeguards in place for the defense of the country," a statement by the military's media wing said.

Biden, Kishida agree to boost security, economic cooperation

Washington/Tokyo: On Jan 21, U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida agreed to boost cooperation on pertinent economic and security issues. The issue includes China and North Korea's missiles and Russia's intentions in Ukraine. We agreed to cooperate to realize a free and open Indo-Pacific, to work closely on China and the North Korean missile issue, and also to cooperate on Ukraine, Kashida said after the virtual meeting.

IAA fully prepared to secure TAPI project

  The IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) claims to be completely prepared to secure the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) project. The Turkmens also stated that this large project should be started and completed as quickly as possible. The TAPI project in Turkmenistan is now complete, and the gas pipeline has reached Afghanistan, but it is still under construction due to security concerns. Officials in Afghanistan claim they are getting ready for the TAPI project. Alhaj Mohammad Issa Akhund, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, met with Turkmenistan's Ambassador in Kabul.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Mudassir Riaz, SP Model Town, PCB officials, district administration, and officers of related departments were present. SP Model Town Dost Muhammad and other officers briefed the DIG Operations and the DC regarding the arrangements.
