Govt imposes Section 144 in Gwadar

Quetta: Balochistan govt imposed section 144 for a month in District Gwadar. As per the Interior Ministry of Balochistan, section 144 was imposed in Gwadar for one month and the Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan directed to take strict action after a police constable was martyred due to the firing by the rally crowd. According to the Provincial Interior Ministry, restrictions on any sort of protest, rally, or gathering of 5 or more people were imposed.

IHC dismisses plea seeking revocation of Section 144

Islamabad: On Monday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) dismissed the PTI's plea seeking the revocation of CrPC Section 144 in the capital. IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah also told PTI leader Asad Umar, the petitioner, to revoke Section 144 from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa via their respective assemblies first and then approach this court against the law.
