The services of Pakistan's Army Chief will be remembered forever: Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi shared these views, saying that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has provided "unforgettable services" in the fight against terrorism. According to information, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said in a statement about the Chief of Army Staff that General Qamar Javed Bajwa has delivered outstanding services in the fight against terrorism. He claimed that the army and the army leader are closely intertwined, and that attacking the army chief implies attacking the army as a whole.

Army chief should have a ‘flawless background’: Maryam Nawaz

Maryam Nawaz, a vice-president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, said on Thursday that the chief of army staff should be a competent individual with a "flawless" background so that people salute Pakistan's armed services. Maryam Nawaz accused the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the delay in her case while speaking to press outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Pakistan's military forces, according to Maryam, are recognised institutions. "The entire nation looks to the military forces for the country's stability and security," she insisted.

Polls likely in Pakistan before appointment of new Army Chief

Khawaja Asif, Pakistan's Federal Minister of Defence, said on Wednesday that a general election could be held in November before the next army chief is appointed. The military minister told BBC Urdu that the caretaker administration could resign before November and a new government would take over. Regarding the extension of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, he said that the army chief had announced that he wasn’t seeking an extension in his tenure.
