Syria Civil Defence concluded its search for any remaining detainees who may have been held in secret cells and basement areas in Sendaya Prison, saying it did not uncover any unopened or hidden areas in the centre. “Specialised teams from The White Helmets conducted a thorough search of all sections, facilities, basements, courtyards and surrounding areas of the prison,” the organisation said in a statement. The five teams included people familiar with the prison and its layout, and two trained dog units.
