Soldier thought to be Gaza hostage was killed on October 7: Army

An American-Israeli soldier believed to have been held hostage in Gaza was killed during the October 7 attacks, the army said on Monday. Omer Maxim Neutra, 21, was declared dead after new intelligence and confirmation from the military rabbinate. The tank commander was killed “in battle” with Hamas during their attack on southern Israel and his body was taken into Gaza, the army added.
