Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon has called on the EU to show the “political courage” needed to take collective action against Israel, including sanctions and trade restrictions, as the war in Gaza continues. “I wish to see that also on the level of the European Union you find this political courage to act together,” Ms Fajon, also Deputy Prime Minister, told The National in an interview in New York. “There is a growing awareness. We have proposals on the table, whether sanctioning radical or extreme ministers of the Israeli government or do more on trade in weapons or with products from the settlements,” she added.
