At least six cops were martyred on Monday when an improvised explosive device (IED) hit their armoured vehicle on Gomal Bazaar road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Tank district. The blast destroyed the armoured vehicle, which was returning from Gomal Police Station. Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Ishaq Khan was among those martyred, police said.
