Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sigrid Kaag, the UN’s senior humanitarian and reconstruction co-ordinator for Gaza, discussed ways to increase the flow of aid into the Palestinian enclave. The two spoke over the telephone on Tuesday as they discussed conditions in Gaza and reviewed progress pertaining to a maritime corridor initiative. Sheikh Abdullah called for an end to extremism, tension and violence in the region.
