For the second day, lorries carrying aid crossed the Rafah border from Egypt into the besieged and heavily bombarded Gaza Strip, reported AFP. Seventeen lorries passed on Sunday, a day after 20 carried medical aid, food, and water into the Palestinian enclave. The UN has estimated about 100 trucks a day are needed to meet the needs of Gaza, where more than 4,600 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes and more than a million people have been displaced.
