Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas have held a “fruitful and constructive meeting” in Riyadh, a Palestinian official said on Tuesday. They discussed “the latest developments and bilateral and collective action to stop the destructive war in the Gaza Strip”, said Hussein Al Sheikh, secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation. Also featuring in the talks were the necessity of international recognition of the State of Palestine as a first step on the path to implementing the two-state solution, added Mr Al Sheikh.
