SEATTLE: Sarmad Khoosat’s film Lali is set to screen at the Tasveer Film Festival after premieres in Berlin and London and a win in Washington DC. The film will open the festival on October 15, featuring a red-carpet event and a cast-and-crew discussion. Starring Mamya Shajaffar, Lali explores fear, shame and violence within intimate relationships.
