Islamabad: The federal government on Wednesday removed Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Saeed Wazir from the post. The decision was taken after allegations were leveled that the territory’s police were “protecting” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan while law enforcers were trying to arrest him.
