Port Edward: On Sunday, a myriad of South Africans took to their beaches to demonstrate against plans by Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) to do seismic oil exploration on a pristine coastal stretch. They said that the project would jeopardize marine wildlife such as whales, dolphins, seals, and penguins there. The South African environmentalists submitted an application against the exploration citing the damages would be “irreparable harm”.
