Rwandan President Paul Kagame said the world had not learnt lessons from the history of his country. Rwanda suffered genocide between April and July 1994 in which more than 800,000 were killed. “I don’t see many in the world learning lessons. We should be learning from history,” Kagame said at the World Governments Summit in Dubai. “What happened in Rwanda was tragedy of century. At least we are left with an opportunity to learn from it, but when you see so much happening in the world, you don’t see lessons learnt. Not just Gaza, these things should not be happening,” he added.
