The Russian Foreign Ministry rejected a US request on Thursday to visit detained Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich. The decision was in response to Washington’s failure to provide visas to Russian journalists from Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s pool when he visited the United Nations in New York, the ministry said.
