Russia’s Defence Ministry says its troops have continued to make gains in Ukraine’s eastern city of Pokrovsk, which Moscow has been trying to take full control of since the middle of last year. In a statement, the ministry claimed advances in the eastern part of the city, which is a key logistical hub for Ukraine in the Donbas region. In addition, the ministry said its forces are “continuing to clear” the nearby village of Rivne.
