The Israeli army said that rocket sirens sounded in several cities in northern Israel after two mortar rounds were launched from southern Lebanon. Both projectiles landed in an open area, the military said, adding it responded by shooting at the launch source. It is the latest exchange of fire between armed groups and Israeli forces. On Sunday, at least 14 civilians were injured inside Israel by an antitank missile launched by Hezbollah.
