The president of the Red Cross on Monday urged Israeli and Palestinian leaders to show a “will to negotiate” to relieve human suffering in Gaza. Mirjana Spoljaric said the misery is “radiating outwards” as she warned of the laws of war – the Geneva Conventions signed 75 years ago on Monday – being undermined.
