PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday that the ruling PTI would be unable to appoint PML-Parvez Q’s Elahi as Punjab’s chief minister because it lacked the necessary numbers in the provincial parliament.

“We [the opposition] are the only ones who have the numbers to accomplish it.” We shall jointly nominate a candidate for Punjab’s chief ministership. While speaking at a joint press conference with his son, party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, and Mohammad Aslam Bhootani, he continued, “It is too late now.”
