Lahore police have ordered a comprehensive crackdown on networks involved in altering IMEI numbers of stolen mobile phones. CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana also directed increased surveillance at theft hotspots, additional patrolling and decoy operations. Officers were told to trace recovered phones, verify transaction records and take action against those involved in the illegal trade of stolen phones and spare parts.
