The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s air strikes on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, which left scores dead and injured early on Tuesday. “Israel began to destroy Rafah without announcement, to avoid international reactions and without waiting for permission from anyone,” it said. The ministry said this “bloody shelling of Rafah is a start to expand the occupation’s crimes there despite the presence of more than one million displaced people in the area”.
