The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned the closure by the Israeli army of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) in el-Bireh following a raid on Monday. The ministry said the move was “part of a systematic policy aimed at undermining civil and developmental work” in the occupied Palestinian territory, in contravention of international law protecting local institutions and those working in the humanitarian field.
