Pakistan has called on the international community to put pressure on Israel to respect UN resolutions demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. In a post on social media platform X on Sunday, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said Israel turned lights off and cut all communication in Gaza as the death toll rises. The Gaza health ministry has said that more than 8,000 had been killed in the Palestinian territory since the start of the current conflict with Israel on October 7.
