Oman says Iran and US open to ‘new and creative ideas’

There are reports from the state news agency of the mediator Oman, which has also shared a photo of Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi meeting US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Geneva. In a social media post, it quoted al-Busaidi as saying after his meeting with the US side that negotiators “demonstrated unprecedented openness to new and creative ideas and solutions”. It added both Iran’s “proposals” and the US “responses and inquiries” regarding the “main elements of Iran’s nuclear programme” were reviewed during the meeting, as well as the “necessary guarantees” to achieve an agreement.
