Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party narrowly trails the Yashar party, led by former military chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot, according to a poll published by Israel’s Kan broadcaster. The poll’s results give Yashar a one-seat advantage over Likud in parliament (24 to 23). It comes just more than two months before parliamentary elections are due in Israel.
