Brussels: It emerged on Tuesday that the NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg had slated a special meeting of allied ambassadors and top Russian officials for next week. Both sides want dialogue to avoid open conflict over Ukraine, a NATO official announced on Tuesday. Maria Zakharova, Russia’s foreign ministry spokesperson, confirmed that Russian officials would attend the NATO-Russia Council meeting in Brussels.
