On Dec 30, it emerged that a court in military-ruled Myanmar imprisoned three distinguished show business personalities for three years each for their support of protests against a February uprising. The military ousted an elected government led by Aung San Suu Kyi on Feb. 1, inciting protests and unrest that were still growing. The court of the main city of Yangon jailed them for three years with hard labour.
