Thousands of visitors are said to have been stranded in Murree as a result of heavy snowfall, which stopped the highways from Islamabad to Murree. According to estimates, roughly 19 visitors in vehicles died as a result of the frigid cold.

According to the Rawalpindi district government, more than 27,000 vehicles have entered Murree so far, with more on the way. No more tourists would be permitted to visit Murree, though. This decision was made in light of the influx of tourists and traffic jams in Murree.
