The UK’s Maritime Trade Organisation said that it was aware of an “incident” off the coast of Oman as ships remain on high alert following an increase in Houthi attacks against vessels in the region. Authorities were investigating the incident, it said on X, advising ships in the area to “transit with caution”. Houthi militants in Yemen increased attacks on commercial tankers and foreign military vessels in the area amid the war in Gaza.
