Gaza’s death toll exceeded 39,000 on Monday, as Israeli air strikes continued, with intense attacks on the southern city of Khan Younis. At least 23 people were killed in the 24 hours from Sunday to Monday afternoon, according to the latest Health Ministry update, taking the total death toll to 39,006. Another 91 were wounded, taking the total number of injured to 89,818.
